Privacy Policy
Rebar connects to live construction sites, so we take data and camera privacy seriously. This summary explains what we collect and how we use it. Last updated June 2026.
Information we collect
We collect account details you provide (name, work email, company), the project and site data you connect to Rebar, and video and image frames from the cameras you authorize. We also collect standard usage and device information to operate and secure the product.
How we use it
We use connected camera feeds and project data to power live intelligence — progress tracking, daily logs, RFIs, safety detection and resource utilization. Aggregated, de-identified benchmarks may be used to improve detection across the Rebar network. We do not sell your data.
Camera footage
Footage is processed to detect activity, equipment, materials and safety conditions. We store the minimum needed to deliver the product and your reporting requirements, retain it only as long as your settings and contract require, and never repurpose identifiable footage for advertising.
Sharing
We share data with the project collaborators you invite, with subprocessors that help us run the service (e.g. cloud hosting and integration partners such as Procore and Autodesk where you connect them), and where required by law. Subprocessors are bound by confidentiality and security obligations.
Security
We apply encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, and least-privilege practices. We are pursuing SOC 2 compliance and design every integration to fail closed.
Your choices
You can access, correct, export or delete your data, and disconnect any camera or integration at any time. Account owners control collaborator access per site.
